神经外科为部级重点专科，床位35张，重症监护病房床位4张。 为大连医科大学及遵义医学院硕士
研究生授予学科。医生中博士2人，硕士5人。三名医师曾在日本留学研修。硕士研究生导师高宝山主任在日本留学多年，曾于日本应邀讲学。回国后，开展显微微创手术，大型听神经瘤全切术并保留面神经达国内先进水平。缺血性脑血管病的多种血运再建术独具特色。

The Neurosurgical Department is a predominant unit in Railway Ministry that contain 35 of specific bed and 4 of NCU bed, which direct the course for Master's graduate student both Dalian Medical University and ZunYi Medical College.Two neurosurgeons are MD and five of Mastership .Three doctors have studied abroad in Japan.Master graduate student tutor, the chief doctor GAO BAO SHAN has studied abroad many years in Japan, and has once been invited to make a lecture in Miyazaki. He carried out microneurosurgical operation after his returning.The resection of huge acoustic neurinoma with facial nerve function reserving that has advanced the country levels. Various by-pass for ischemic cerebrovascular disease have a special features.

脑血管病的治疗:
采用显微技术进行脑动脉瘤开颅夹闭术，脑血管畸形切除术，缺血性脑血管病的多种方法的血运再建术，颈内动脉狭窄的动脉内支架留置术等，取得了显著的疗效。尤其在缺血性脑血管病(脑血栓)的综合治疗方面，在大连市处领先地位，形成了脑血栓的防治呈规范程序化、具有特色的系统工程。

Interventional neuroradiology：
Endovascular embolization of aneurysm, AVM, CCF. Prominent curative effect has been attained in acute ischemic stroke by interventional therapy. Endovascular chemical therapy for malignent brain tumor post-operation prolonged patient's life.
 
 
脑肿瘤的综合治疗：
大型听神经瘤全切除并保留面神经，颅底肿瘤累及脑干的复杂病例切除术等均达到国家水平。
